| We were at our Friends wedding in October 2008 at a place called Rawley Manor in the Easr Riding of Yorkshire, it was at the evening function when our Friend took this picture of her Friends, she says that there was deffinatley no one in the frame other than the two Girls, and of course some dancing people in the back ground, there will have been a slight blur due to the low light and slow shutter speed, but i donr think it can count for the long blurred image that is present just behind the girls, he is in white, more to the point, no one remembers him being there in person at the night, the Bride and Groom dont recognise him either, would be interesting to hear your opinions. | An interesting photo, it could be a spirit. It might be worth trying adjusting the brightness etc in a photo programm try it in black and white too the image may be more clear. _________________ Please feel free to call in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] the forum for seekers everywhere! |

| The thing that strikes me as odd is that the foreground has so much blue and red in it, while the background doesn't. There also seems to be a smearing of those colors, especially with the girl on the right. That sort of smearing makes me think this is a physical issue with the camera or at least the conditions at the time. I'm not sure, though. I don't know what would cause that sort of splitting and smearing of the reds and blues like that. Was there a colored light source near the foreground? |

| I will have a look through my library this afternoon whilst the house is empty to see if I can find anything about the Manor in my books. I have a few on the Hauntings in the East Riding area so will let you know. |

| Right, I have searched through: Folklore of East Yorkshire, John Nicholson, 1890. Ghosts and Legends of Yorkshire, Andy Roberts, 1992. North Yorkshire Strange but True, Robert Woodhouse, 2003. Haunted Yorkshire, W. R. Mitchell, 1990, 2000, 2004. Haunted Yorkshire, W. R. Mitchell, 1969. Ghosts and Ghouls of the East Riding, Michael Wray, 2004. The Haunted Coast, Michael Wray, 2002. Yorkshire Ghosts, G. Weaver, 1979. Yorkshire Stories of the Supernatural, Andy Owens, 1999, 2002. Haunted Places of Yorkshire, Andy Owens, 2005. Hauntings in Yorkshire, Stephen Wade, 2008. None of them have any info on the Manor! Doh!! |

| It's usually the case. I have found locations with lot's of alleged activity, but when I have researched the location I have found nothing, which in a way is a plus point, because it's new material for me. |

That's how I look at locations as well. In fact, before I investigate, I prefer not to know any details of its history or the ghost stories people tell. That way, after I investigate, I compare what I came up with versus what stories or told or what is stated in the history books, and it is either new information to continue research, or I prove to myself with my investigation skills. |

| I love looking through newspapers, I mean really old newspapers from the 17 and 1800's, that feature locations and stories, then tracing what is on the location now. I did some work recently on some of the allegedly haunted almshouses and hospitals of Hull, and saw that buildings on these sites now, are still experiencing paranormal activity. One of my fave stories is from the 1700's and shows a group of Hull residents fighting off poltergeist activity! |
