About 15 years ago I was working as a security contractor installing security doors in a wine cellar in Oxford beneath a famous college. Every now and then I would get this really strong smell of ladies perfume wafting through the corridor. I mentioned this to a member of the college staff and was told that it was "The cellar ghost"............spooky or what.

Whilst based at Mildenhall UK, i Visited Oxford, i have to say that i found it a realy old and we used to into a famous Pub in Oxford, i could feel the sense of age, and i remember a realy fusty smell, i felt i was being watched.

When you were smelling this Perfume, did you feel anything, you maybe a Spiritual person.

I had i similar experience once, at first you thinks its your imagination, but then you start to walk around the room like a bloodhound, sniff sniff, but mi experience was localised and in an old old house, no oen had lived there for 3 years so no reason to think why i should have smelled the perfume unless it was paranormal.

This is yet another method spirit will use to let you know they're around, again so they don't frighten you, common scents are tobacco pipe and cigarette (and for the non smokers amongst you tobaccos have very distinct differences in smells, each brand is different, so you could tell the difference uncle joe's woodbines from grandad's st bruno) they may use perfumes or scented soaps, if you have a loved one who worked at a fish market you may even smell fish and so on, you will generally know who it is by the scent, if the visit is from a loved one.

i have perfum gost too, he is round me a lot, many days of week, even smell when on long flight from mexico to new yourk, i was very fright of flight, maybe that why it was round me, i never know who it will be though.

Hi Spooky, this is realy strange, i have a similar experience, even to this date, some days when i am having a bad one, i can smell perfume, its all around me, even when im out in the city, the thing is, its nothing i would wear, more like something my Granmother would wear, she past a long time ago and never got to know her, but i wonder if it could be her, i hope it is because that would give me so much hope.
