| Hello! My name is Chad Wilson and I am the publisher of Paranormal Underground Magazine ( PUG) (www.paranormalunderground.net). I registered here after one of your members posted on my site that you were looking for new members. It definitely seems interesting and I look forward to many healthy discussions with everybody. A little about myself. I'm a divorced father currently living with my soul mate in southern California. I have always had an avid interest in the paranormal, especially in the area of ghosts, hauntings, cryptids, and UFO's. In reality, anything strange and unexplained interests me. I've had a few supernatural experiences in my life, experiences that will more than likely remain unexplained. I am a paranormal investigator, as well as a writer, which lend themselves well to being the publisher of a paranormal magazine. I, along with my soul mate, created PUG mainly as a vehicle for our magazine. But in the process we found that our forums gave people a place to talk about their experiences, and let them know that they are not alone in the world, and that, no, they are not crazy, and also to provide a place where they can talk about their experiences and beliefs free from attack. That does not mean we are just about personal experiences, far from it, as we are also about the science of the paranormal. Someday I do hope to help quantify the paranormal (Some of us at PUG are seeking to do just that), and to give others hope that death is not the end, but only the beginning. I believe in reincarnation of the soul, and thus think we have all been here before, and have contracts with other souls within our soul groups to help us learn. As for karma, I am still open as to what that could be, or if it is even real, or just something we made up to help explain why bad things happen to good people. I do think we choose what will happen to us before we enter our current lives. Some people seem to think no one would choose to go through some experiences, but you can learn something in every experience. Just because it is a horrible experience does not mean we can't learn from it, and even take a positive lesson with us to the next life. I also believe that one should approach paranormal investigation through a stance of neutrality, looking neither to prove nor to debunk any given experience, instead letting any evidence determine whether a location is haunted, or not. That is why quantification of the paranormal is key, so we can understand exactly what makes a haunting. So you see, I am a mixture of both the scientific and the spiritual, which to me is necessary in gaining an understanding of the paranormal, and furthermore, I try to foster that approach over at PUG. I will definitely stop by and chat with everyone here, and I hope you are all able to make your way to www.paranormalunderground.net as well. We do have a free online magazine and podcast. We welcome any feedback that any of you can provide. Have a good day and I look forward to talking soon. |

| Yes, I have definitely been enjoying the forums. As for me being an interesting person Mandy, I'm no different than anyone else, I just tend to seize the day more now than I used to. The past 3 years have been life changing, so maybe that is the reason I am seeking the life that I want, as opposed to waiting for it to happen to me. A brief overview. First, I found out I might have mouth cancer (results came back negative thank God), then got a divorce, met my soul mate, found out I could write (and thus became a writer), got into the field of paranormal investigation (spinning my love of writing and my interest in the paranormal into a first class magazine), and moving from Tennessee, USA to California, USA. And all that because I thought I might be dying and looked at my life, realizing how unhappy I was in the process. Now, the future is wide open and I have taken charge, or at least as much as I can. Plus, I work at Disneyland, which is the most awesome job in the world to me. I actually smile when I go to work now. The thing is, we all have control of our lives. Sometimes it is small things, but over time those small things become big things. It is just a matter of waiting for the right moment and also not fighting against the flow too hard. You see, everything that has happened to me in the last 3 years seems to have happened naturally, like it was meant to be, even though I DO feel I took charge. I even think coming to this forum was meant to be, though what for at present remains to be seen. Even though I have my own forum, I think I will continue coming here as well. Mainly because I like the perspective. So, look to hear more from me, and I look forward to hearing more from all of you. And again, thanks for the warm welcome. ps: Buffy is one of my all time favorite TV shows. |
