| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This picture was taken on a trip to the Queen Mary in August of this year. It was in what used to be the boiler room, and now serves as a stage area. I took it with my Sony A200 Digital SLR Camera. As for what it could be, I have no clue. I am hesitant to call it paranormal, though I could be wrong. |

I'm really not an expert. Orb photos are so iffy to me. It could be dust, or light reflection. Then again what do i know? It could be the real deal.
I do know that this is the first "orb" photo I've ever gotten on this particular camera, but like you I am not a big fan of orbs due to their controversial nature. |

| Mmm, an orb, i tink orbs are spirits, although i have seen many orbs, which ones are spirits and which ones are just dust or reflection of light. |

| I understand the orb debate and I think it's common sense and intelligence that take over our mindsets to assume it is something of a "logical" nature. At the same time, I wonder how many spirit energy orbs we actually pass over BECAUSE of this thought. I certainly believe in the idea that some/certain orbs are paranormal or ghosts. The human body is practically made up of energy; the human mind and nerves and heart "snap" with electrical shocks thousands of times a second. If we were to take away our body or shell, the "stuff" you can physically see, and all that was left is our energy, it would most likely take photos of or look like a bunch of balls of light, hence the energy continuously flowing through our bodies.
The problem is when people do take pictures of other particles, bugs, humidity/dense fog, rain, snow, etc. and without doing some actual investigating while taking the photo, it's terrible to consider it paranormal without any information or common sense. I cringe when I see pictures online that people call "millions of orbs" when it's very obviously a disturbance of dust.
I have many orb photos that I believe to be paranormal, and that is after investigating the temperature, humidity, particles, bugs. dust, wind, etc. before and after the photos. Note that photos is plural. I never take just one photo of a location or area. I take at least 5 or 10 at a time, because in doing so, it's amazing how you are able to tell the difference between physical particles and paranormal orbs. You can follow them, and after conducting hundreds of experiments with dust and small particles of the like, you will not have just ONE dust particle. There will always been many.
The other thing people need to take into consideration is the speed of the camera, the lens flares, the film, the setting if it's digital. There is so much to look into. When I investigate, if I get a picture or pictures of an orb in a room area of a location, it literally takes us at least a half an hour just to investigate that.
That being said, Chad, I say "thumbs up". I'm also jealous that you toured the Queen Mary. That is a location I've always wanted to go to and we'll get to it soon enough. We covered Northern Cali, now it's time for some investigations in Southern Cali! |

| On Chad's picture, I have to say that I think something is up.
Seeing as this particular camera he used during the tour had never captured an orb in a photo before, it seems as if this might be something paranormal in nature.
Then again ... who knows! LOL |
